Robert's Rules: Planning and Conducting Effective Meetings Seminar

Robert’s Rules: Planning and Conducting Effective Meetings

Have you ever led a meeting, and things did not go as smoothly as you wanted?
Have you ever attended a meeting, and it seemed chaotic and disorganized?
Often the reason for this is that things got out of hand and everyone forgot (or did not know) basic Robert’s Rules of Order.   This course can help prevent that from occurring in the future.

Robert’s Rules has some basic objectives for a meeting

·         Allow everyone to be heard

·         Reduce confusion

·         Promote fairness and equality

·         Maintain decorum

This training session, based on the published material by Toastmasters International, discusses the primary guidelines for Robert’s Rules and Parliamentary Procedure.   The course is designed to be a fun, lighthearted look at the basics, equipping attendees to better understand how to lead and participate in an effective meeting.   In addition, the course will include a mock meeting utilizing Robert’s Rules, and discussions about how to plan ahead for effective meetings.

Each participant will received a participant workbook, as well as a certificate of completion, provided the register for the course at least 3 days prior to the training.

The cost for the course is $5, which includes the participant handbook and materials.
